The Junta de Andalucía seal sponsors the Cinema Cocina section, whose winner will receive the Silver Biznaga for the best 'Gusto del Sur' short film.
Gastronomic culture and cinema come together during the 27th edition of the Malaga Film Festival thanks to the support of Gusto del Sur, the agri-food quality brand of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Regional Government of Andalusia.
The Málaga Film Festival is held from March 1st to 10th in different locations throughout the Andalusian city.
Gusto del Sur is the official sponsor of the 7th Cinema Cocina Gastronomic Session, where a total of 17 unpublished Spanish and international documentaries will be screened, including ten feature films and seven short films.
Parallel to the screening in this section of the Málaga Film Festival, there will be different round tables, tastings, and a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Miramar where you can enjoy products from the companies that are already part of Gusto del Sur.
Thus, the Ministry of Agriculture, through Gusto del Sur, will promote Andalusian food and beverages of differentiated quality by sponsoring this section of the Málaga Film Festival, whose winner will be announced on March 8 at the Gala Dinner.
Gastronomy and cinema on the big screen
Cinema Cocina, the gastronomic thematic section of the 27th edition of the Málaga Film Festival, offers the V Gastronomic Documentary Contest. In total, ten unpublished national and international feature films will be screened at the Teatro Echegaray. In addition, there will be different tastings during the screenings where you can sample products from Gusto del Sur. The winner of this section of the Málaga Film Festival will receive the Biznaga de Plata Gusto del Sur.

Regreso al Terruño' by Salvador Arellano Torres and Miguel García Iraburu; 'Binu, historia de dues estrelles' by Guillem Cabra and Mar Clapés; 'El misterio de la barra' by Santiago Madueño; 'Equibocados' by Andrea Loureiro; 'La comida perfecta' by Alexandros Merkourius; 'The Michoacan file' by Bernardo Arsuaga; 'Villa Málaga. El tiempo de un vino' by Eterio Ortega Santillana; and 'Tasting Victory, the life and wines of the world's favourite sommelier' by Kiki Glover and Alexei Dalton.

Gusto del Sur is the brand with which the Regional Government of Andalusia identifies food and beverages of differentiated quality, helps consumers to recognize them through labeling on packaging, improves the competitiveness of the sector, and promotes marketing and internationalization.
