The Junta de Andalucía is promoting its new agri-food quality brand Gusto del Sur at Auténtica Premium Food Fest 2023, the two-day fair that is celebrating its first edition in Seville.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Carmen Crespo, has been present at the opening of this new reference event for the agri-food industry. For two days, the fair has brought together 182 exhibiting companies, including Gusto del Sur, which has had its own stand to explain the benefits of the brand, explain how to join and report on the characteristics of the products that can join.

Crespo has assured that "Andalusian agriculture, livestock and fisheries are undisputed symbols of the Mediterranean diet and also identify the three S's of taste, health and sustainability". "With the celebration of Auténtica 2023, we want to promote the Mediterranean diet among the population, especially among young people, because it is essential for health," he added.

In this sense, the Minister of Agriculture has stressed that the agri-food sector is "fundamental" for the economy of Andalusia, "thanks to the generation of employment and wealth". Last year, he said, "Andalusian food exports were 14,000 million euros, which demonstrates the food sovereignty of Andalusia, feeding millions of Europeans, and we do it with a focus on health and sustainability, with quality raw materials of our products and farmers".

In its first edition, the Auténtica congress brought together 6,257 professionals, who attended the event to discover the latest innovations in premium-gourmet products.
